Dog & Cat Dental Care!
|
Holy Cow! - What will they think of next?? Does your dog have doggy breath?? Don't give him a mouthwash.....bad breath usually means a dog has teeth problems. Cats & Dogs going to the Vet for Dental Checkups is the way to go for your pets.
- Cats can suffer from some of the same teeth problems as humans. While Dogs seldom get cavities, many do get plaque, and that can lead to bad breath, infected gums and loss of teeth. Small dogs seem to have the most problems.
- Cats suffer similiar problems, such as loose teeth, abscesses and gum inflamation. If you see any signs of any of these problems, consult your vet.
- To brush or not to brush is the big question. Some experts say a dog's teeth will stay clean if he is given dry food and an occasional bone to chew on. Others recommend that you brush your dog's teeth. Some people brush their cat's teeth and we can show you how. So check with your vet for tips on brushing and do NOT use toothpaste designed for humans.
